Trysil RMM AS recently bought the majority of shares in Tieto-Oskari Oy. It is the international market launch of the Trafficprinter, in particular, that has made this acquisition interesting. This is because the Finnish technology company are the ones responsible for supplying the control system for this revolutionary, Norwegian-developed road marking machine. Both CEO Jon Kjetil Jutulstad in Trysil RMM and General Manager Taito Heikkinen from Tieto-Oskari are delighted with the acquisition.
– This transaction provides us with more muscle to grow in the future. Me and my wife Anna-Liisa Heikkinen are still minority shareholders in Tieto-Oskari Oy, and I will continue in my position as the General Manager. This transaction was an important step in the company’s history. Tieto-Oskari Oy has worked with road marking machines since 1995. Therefore, the transaction with Trysil RMM AS was a natural continuation for us. Our strategy for the upcoming years is growth, especially in the road marking industry, says General Manager Taito Heikkinen at Tieto-Oskari Oy.
Know each other very well
The two day-to-day managers and their companies know each other very well already.
-We have collaborated with Tieto-Oskari for a decade. In addition to the control system on our Trafficprinter, they have also supplied a good number of components that we use for our other road marking machines. For us, this is a strategic investment. Tieto-Oskari has expertise that we will benefit from in the years to come, says CEO Jon Kjetil Jutulstad in Trysil RMM.
-Trysil RMM AS is already the main shareholder in Trysil RMM Oy, located in Kajaani in Finland. Tieto-Oskari is based in the same town, and has been one of the most important suppliers to the Trysil RMM group. Their experience in electronics and embedded software significantly strengthens us in this field.
